Typical content packed in: Plastic film on reel
BOPP film is used for packing produce. The film has excellent machinability and outstanding performance in all major vertical and horizontal packaging lines. Perforation patterns allow for moisture regulation. An UV-additive is used for protection of light sensitive produce. An anti-fog additive is used for film clarity upon storage at different temperatures. The film can be printed up to 10 colors, including a tactile finish.
Flow-Fresh® is a unique airy film, a presealed combination of PP CLAF net and PP film. Compared to a standard PP film it offers extended shelf life, as the net portion allows for excellence in ventilation. Flow-Fresh® runs on horizontal and vertical machines.
The diverse portfolio of topseal lidding films allows for heat sealing of any type of plastic, cardboard, fibre and aluminum tray and runs on standard top-seal machines. The films are treated with anti-fog and the right size and type of perforations to benefit shelf life of produce. For convenience, peelable and reclosable solutions are available. The barrier films are suitable for modified atmosphere packaging to further enhance shelf life of delicate fresh produce such as cut vegetables and asparagus.
Polyolefin film has superior cling characteristics for overwrap tray application. It has excellent clarity and organoleptic properties.
The PVC overwrap film has high gloss, combining transparency with excellent anti-fogging properties. The film has unsurpassed excellence in moisture permeability which benefits shelf life of produce. Depending on the type of produce the film can be perforated. The film can be printed up to 10 colors and has standard anti-fog treatment.
Shrink films are available in PE or POF grade. The PE shrink film shrinks as it cools, requiring additional cooling at the end of the tunnel, while POF films shrink when heated resulting in a finished good as soon as it comes out of the tunnel. PE shrink films have a decent clarity, POF has superior clarity and glossy shelf appearance. POF on the other hand is more expensive as a material than PE shrink film.
Fresh produce can be cooked, pasteurized and sterilized in packs made from multilayer coextruded films. For cooking and sterilization at 121 degrees Celsius a PA/PP film is used. For cooking and pasteurization at 100 degrees Celsius PA/PE bottom and top film is used.
Crate cover sheets protect your fruits and vegetables during transportation and safeguard the quality and hygiene. Besides their protective function, they are also an excellent medium to advertise and communicate extra information.
